I'm not sure if I'm the only one but I never know what garment size to buy from Joules.
I've gone up a size for this item.

Finer Details

Joules' quirky detailing really does it for me. The cord pocket and collar trims are a mustard yellow colour which accentuates this stylish waistcoat. I adore the toad green colour and love the fact it can be matched with their other toad green tweed clothing items.

The velvet collar underside is similar to that of Sporting Hares (read more here) Beauchamp blazer.

The half belt on the back of the waistcoat is one of my favourite aspects which is also trimmed with buttons.

Sizing & Fit

I would personally size down.

True to the description it is loose fit. I went for the size 6 and there is plenty of room. Especially around the midriff area and bust, making it really comfortable. It doesn't hug you too tight in those awkward places. The gorgeous Stylish in the Country advised me to size down and I am glad I did.

If you prefer a tighter fit you could wear the shirt tucked in like I have.

I like to wear mine with the sleeves rolled up giving it a casual feel.

This shirt looks equally good with jeans due to the curved hem or tucked into a tweed skirt and a Barbour thrown over the top. A tweed waistcoat would look gorgeous with this shirt! (Adding to wishlist...)


Material

100% cotton

It is lightweight and really comfortable. Infact, it is the most comfortable shirt I own.

There are just plain white 6 buttons down the front. Giving it it's 'pop-over' title. Pop it over your head and off you go.

Theres a pocket on the chest and it features the statement Joules bunny near the bottom of the shirt and there is contrast piping on the underside of the sleeves.

I do not wear a vest/cami underneath my Charlotte shirt because I don't feel I need to but there is enough room to wear one and still have enough room to move. It is lightweight but I would not say it is see-through like a blouse. I did see a review where someone said they were disappointed the shirt was see-through but I have to say I do not agree. You should hopefully be able to see this from the photographs.

The only downside is it creases quite easily.

The Print

Pheasants galore!

If you're a fan of countrywear or just a pheasant lover this shirt is perfect for you.

The print is really cute. The design has a hand painted watercolour style feel to it. The tones are quite muted in burgundy, teal and brown. The print is quite small but I think this is perfect for countrystyle.

There are a selection of flying pheasants, standing pheasants and running pheasants. There is just one stalking fox design. The pattern doesn't have a specific uniform as some of the foxes and pheasants are upside down; quirky, I like it.

Firstly, sorry I've been off the scene for a while. I truly did not anticipate how time consuming it would be buying a house, moving in and creating a mini zoo (we have two kittens and two puppies now! You can see them growing up on Instagram)

For countrywear I think the Beauchamp Paddock Green blazer is startling and sure as hell makes a statement but why not? Its bold and beautiful (I am bias to the colour green though). Probably like most country folk, a lot of my wardrobe items are understated so this punchy green makes a refreshing change. Sported with jeans, a dress or a skirt the blazer finishes any outfit off nicely.

What can I wear it with?
This jacket will take you all through spring to winter, countryside to city. Heels or wellies.

For the brighter colours (especially Huntsman Red and Paddock Green) its probably best to stick with plain colours in black, white or nude for your top half. Bottom half can easily be matched with jeans, jodphurs, skirt or even a dress, again in fairly plain colours.

Footwear
Sporting Hares Ascot Wellies or Dubarry Galway boots and some Preppy socks. Alternatively some Dubarry Cork ankle boots or Fairfax & Favor Regina boots or dress it up with your favourite sky high heels. Easy.

Accessories
A fur hat or Holland Cooper Trilby would look beautiful with the Beauchamp Blazer in any colour! You could also accessorize with gold jewellery to emphasize the embroidery. If the weather is fine grab your KINGS sunglasses and your look is complete.

My thoughts

I absolutely love my Beauchamp to bits. I was thoroughly impressed when I initially opened the packaging and was even more thrilled when it fit like a dream. The more I wear it the more I like it. I'm happy I chose the vibrant colour. It really stands out, it's beautiful.

Although this jacket is practical I would not dream of taking this jacket somewhere where mud is in abundance, its just too nice. For me, it's perfect dress attire so I wouldn't wear it for mucking out or hiking. I would wear it for a meal, party gathering or a walk down the pub with the dogs. Chuck on your Barbour over the top and your Beauchamp is safe for anything.

The Beauchamp blazer nails preppy-country style and it's unquestionably fashionable.

The Huntsman Red and the Preppy socks are already on my wishlist. I'd love to see a Sporting Hares waistcoat, silk scarf or jodhpurs!

Mole Blasting: Part 2 

(Daily Report)

I have repeated the process.
I believe using the nail file on the initial treatment is essential.

I was happy with my initial blasting results and it quite frankly left me astonished. I was pleased I did not overdo it first time round so I could keep an eye on the intensity of the ACV and what damage it was doing to my mole. 

Day 1

Lets do this. 
Like I said, the mole has flattened again after healing. So it was time to zap it again. 
I filed it more this time. Determined to get to the root. Oops: I used an illuminating moisturiser under my makeup so the mole looks a little more raised on the photo because of this.

Day 2

Woke up to a white mole. Weird. But good! Literally scabbed up in an hour. It did weep a little with a tiny bit of blood, maybe because I filed the shite out of it. Despite me making sure the mole is covered under the plaster it seems the upper section of the mole is more porous or less resilient than the lower part. This could be due to me unintentionally filing more of this part of mole. Just be prepared as this could happen to you. To overcome this I just zap it for a few more days or zap the unaffected area with an ear bud until the mole is completely black.

Day 3
Woah, loads flatter on the top section of Mr Mole (almost flush with my skin) and pretty darn blackened. The scab has spread a little too. It looks like I've coloured it in with a marker pen lol.

Day 4

Oh my god. I've broken the back of the mole. I'm convinced! It looks sunken. I woke up this morning and the mole was not white but the scab looked darker and flat. One part still hasnt scabbed, stubborn thing. It felt different this morning, it was not painful but it felt tight and a little uncomfortable. I can't feel it at all now (mid morning). Tonight I will NOT leave the plaster on all night because I don't think it needs it, but I will zap the part which hasn't been affected with an ear bud! The scab is literally black. Although I have a scabby face i'm happy about it! Tonight I will smother it with Neosporin.

It was really hard to photograph but the dark part is pretty much flush with my skin but sunken in parts.



Day 5
Nicknamed myself Crusty McCrustathon. It has dried up nicely. I spot-zapped the unaffected part last night but this morning it still hasnt really taken a battering. I am going to let myself heal now and not put any more ACV on and see what happens to the unaltered section because I don't want to over do it and damage my skin. If it needs another session that's cool with me! 

So it's totally dried up. It's mega crusty.

IMPORTANT: FYI I used the Neosporin and it made my scab very 'moist'. I could have easily pealed it off which is not ideal as it could lead to scarring. For this reason I will not be using it until the scab has fallen off.


Day 6
Mr Mole is standing about 2mm off my face! It's beginning to get annoying. I know most people would have picked it off by now but I'm trying to eliminate scarring as much as I can. It has not changed but I would say it looks slightly smaller - maybe because it's dried up a considerable amount.

Day 7
I'm so close to picking this off!! The scab is hanging on desperately and everyone is telling me NOT to pick it but it's literally hanging on to almost nothing. So, I'll remove it tonight. I'm happy to say it looks good!!! No blood, puss or anything nasty in sight. It looks reasonably dry under the scab too and I can't see any pigment it just looks pink



End Results Part 2
Technically I'm still healing but I want to start stage 3 soon so I thought I would show you the results of treatment 2. The part top right is completely flush with my skin. The lower part is raised a little. Most people would probably leave it be now but I feel one more little treatment will finish this mole off for good. The mole looks quite  a lot bigger and raised than it actually is. 

As I say i'm still healing. It is only day 10 so considering how it was a few days a go its healing really well... I'm still totally amazed at the results!

Was it worth the effort?

Yes!!! I bought a natural organic product off Amazon for less than a tenner which got rid of my 27 year old mole. How can you complain about that!?

Would you do it again?
100% yes

Does it hurt?
No. The filing isn't too pleasant. The plaster gets annoying and one morning it felt a little uncomfortable but it never hurt me.

I was fully aware that I could be left with a scar where my mole originally was. But to be honest, I would prefer a scar. It is recommended to visit a doctor to get moles checked out before getting them removed. Any questions PLEASE comment or email me, I will give advice where I can.

Here I am again, mole busting! It's a long post, sorry. With some raw unedited totally natural and REAL photos (not sorry). If you haven't checked out my previous mole removal post, take a look here.

I've gone for a different technique this time... unfortunately because Dermatend has been taken off the shelves (see why here). This one is completely natural and you probably won't believe it even works but it does (I'm still in shock) 
Please read the small print at the bottom of the page. I am not a doctor or beautician, just an average person with a mole who has tried a DIY removal experiment at home.

I followed the instructions and recommendations and IT WORKS.

So, I left the old 'beauty spot' on my face mainly because I liked it as it was unique to me. Plus, I wanted to see how the other moles turned out after I'd blasted it. I had a good think and I decided that the mole would only get bigger and bigger until I resembled that of Nanny McPhee, so, it had to go. By the way, my old moles have been absolutely fine, they haven't grown back and I've had no trouble whatsoever with them. So, I plucked up the courage to zap my 27 year old mole...But the Dermatend I'd bought had completely lost its power, it did nothing at all to my ever growing mole. 

I decided to look elsewhere. I did some more research. I found an amazing blog post by Don't Waste the Crumbs. I was in disbelief. How on earth could a product which you could buy in supermarkets zap moles from your face for a fraction of the price of surgery? 

My mole is not as raised and I was flabbergasted how easy it was. It actually worked.

How to remove moles with Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)
What you need:

Ok, ready? 

1
Grab a nail file and file the mole. 
I found the more you file the easier it is for the Apple Cider Vinegar to work its magic. Probably because the surface has been scratched so it can penetrate the mole better. Try to file this evenly. I have read that poking the mole with a needle can also help but I don't recommend this.

I have read that some people surround the mole with vaseline (to stop the Apple Cider Vinegar burning the skin around it). I tried this but the plaster did not stick to my skin so I threw that idea out the window. I found the Apple Cider Vinegar did not burn my skin. I just had a small red mark from the sticky plaster but this can easily be covered with makeup and disappeared in a few hours. It's like the ACV knows the mole should not be there.

Give the wondrous Apple Cider Vinegar a good shake to get that mother working. 
I think this part is important because some of the strength sits at the bottom of the bottle.

Get your plaster ready. 
I place it face up on the counter (so the white pad on the plaster is facing up)

Dip the ear bud / q tip into the Apple Cider Vinegar so it is saturated. 
Gently squeeze any excess off (the plaster won't stick to your skin if it's too wet). It needs to be wet but not dripping.

Pull off the end of the ear bud so you're left with a little wet ball.

Place the ball on the center of the plaster. 
Line it up with the mole you want to zap and carefully stick it down. It does take a little bit of practice.

Sit back and relax.
You may feel a stinging sensation but this is good news, this means it is working! 
I go to bed with the plaster on and I take it off in the morning (it normally has a good 7 to 8 hrs)

Repeat
I kept on doing it even once the mole had turned black. Once it looked dry and sunken I stopped. If at anytime you're unsure whether to blast it again it is probably best to leave it and see the results before blasting again.

Heal
Try not to pick at it! This will help prevent scarring and speed up the healing process.
