Clothing

Here I'm wearing my Harriet blazer with a beaut Jack Murphy hat, Crimson Magic Hat in a matching blue hue. With my (practically vintage now...) skirt from River Island, but as you can see it looks stunning with tartan. Look effortless and wear it with jeans or go 'proper country' and wear some cords or moleskin trousers! Muted tones of grey & blue look great with the blazer but I also like my camel tones when I wear it too.

I've layered it up here with my John Partridge wax jacket, worn with the high collar.

And it looks fab with accessories; in this case my fetching silk scarf from Clare Shaw Fine Art and my personal favouite (although I am bias...) Charlotte in England x Fruit Bat Textiles handmade Scarf (there's only ONE LEFT in the blanket style so hurry!).

Why I love it My thoughts

The tweed itself is really lovely, a moody
Blue Moon Herringbone. This looks really smart so can take you from field to city or from office to a fancy family feast, effortlessly.

The design is wonderful and I think the high collar option is glorious! It transforms the blazer into something contrary to the traditional tweed jacket. Depending on your mood (or weather) you can switch up your look within seconds. It is very stylish and fashionable and practical too. This added element keeps in the warmth - without needing to wear a scarf which is great for this time of year.

This makes me feel sophisticated and feels lovely to wear, just like all of Jack Murphy' attire.

"Renowned for quality and reliability, our collections are beautifully tailored and designed for country living whatever the weather. In this way, the Irish landscape and weather are influential in both our menswear, womenswear and Heritage collections. This influence can also be seen in the deep and lustrous colour palette characteristic of Jack Murphy clothing reminiscent of the Irish land and sea."

The finishing touches, as ever with Jack Murphy are handsome and graceful - moleskin detailing, featured on the cuffs and collar in a lovely deep navy which matches the blue/grey tweed and a classic pin brooch. The buttons are great too. Did I mention the turn up cuffs? I love this feature! It gives the jacket a little bit of edge and makes it a wee less formal. Again, perfect for when you want to change your look without trying to hard.

If you love looking classy and want a traditional twist on the average looking blazer, go for this beauty! It is chic and extremely smart.

All my love,

Charlotte
