My boyfriend got down on one knee at the foot of the Black Cuillin mountains at the Fairy Pools in the Isle of Skye (Scotland) when we went away at the end of December. Wet, windy, cold and I wouldn't have changed it for the world. It was such a special moment! 

Being in a muddy wet field on our own, surrounded by nature was the best thing in the world!

As you may be aware I'm not one for glamour, so being in a muddy wet field on our own, surrounded by nature was the best thing in the world! I was totally oblivious which is unlike me. I'm normally switched on with things like this, or so I thought. My parents and boyfriend all planned it with me completely unaware!

Off we went on a some what normal walk. Togged up in thermals, waterproofs and walking boots getting thrashed with rain and wind. When we got to the foot of the mountain and it stopped raining and that's the moment it happened. The little bugger had been hiding the ring for the whole trip in his coat pocket!

The ring is exactly what I would have picked myself and it happened in the most idyllic setting.
