Why I love them My thoughts

We can never have enough socks living in the countryside. They're vital for us during almost every season and with this said I wear my socks a lot. They are a much-needed accessory when you live in the country. So, why not have some good looking socks to accompany you? These are even lovely enough to wear in Autumn in front of a cosy wood burner fire wrapped up in a blanket (Can you tell I'm longing for the change of season?!)

These long socks from House of Cheviot are the bees-knees when it comes to country socks. The quality is second to none. They are of premium quality, so a real luxury sock. Being made from Merino Wool means the wool is fine and soft. This makes it comfortable next to your skin which very important if you're out in the field all day or hiking on the side of a mountain somewhere chilly on a winters day.

House of Cheviot also offers a whole range of garters to compliment your socks, you can find them all HERE. They really add that finishing touch to your outfit and look smart for shooting too.

I've shown you How to Tie a Garter Tie HERE on another blog post. *COMING SOON *

The top band is chunky, thick and deep so it adds quite a statement and this differentiates it from the average woollen sock. They are a luxury item and worth the price tag. They're a real pleasure to wear. I even wear mine on those (magical) rainy summers days with a tweed mini and long boots. I love the contrasting top band. The cross stitch style top adds a really nice finishing touch to the sock and reaffirms that handmade feel. All of the colour options for the 'Lady Forres' socks are exquisite, it was hard to choose a favourite!

The Lady Forres range, in particular, is very 'country' and the tones are all a perfect blend. House of Cheviot also offers brighter colour options, great for big shoot days where you want to stand out from the crowd or have a special event. You can see more styles HERE

Being made in Scotland means they know their stuff when it comes to keeping warm.

I feel there is plenty of room inside the sock itself, which is good. There's nothing worse than being restricted. They fit well but they are not tight which I like. (FYI I went for the size Small and I am a shoe size 4) My legs are short and these socks are very long! You can see how long they are on THIS BLOG POST *COMING SOON*. This is great for those of you with lovely long legs. If you're a shortie like me you may have to pull the sock further down inside of your boots or wellies so the top section isn't showing too much.

They look gorgeous with a pair of country boots, like my Dubarry's I'm wearing here but would look fabulous with some Le Chameau wellies too. Keep your eyes peeled as I'll be wearing these socks a lot over Autumn/Winter/Spring ~ forever...!

"Lady Forres looks exquisite when paired with boots or wellies for a classic country look."
