Younique Mascara: Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes

Friday, July 31, 2015Charlotte in England

How excited was I to get my little paws on some younique mascara? A friend was importing some straight from America so I took her up on the offer.

I've heard of a few horror stories about the fragments getting in your eyes and damaging them. The fibers are made from green tea so it is natural. Some of the imitation brands probably do cause harm so it is probably wise to stick to Younique.

There are three parts to using this mascara:

1) Your own mascara
2) Base Layer: The Younique mascara
3) Fiber Application: The fibres
4) Seal Coat: The Younique mascara

I was surprised to hear you still need your existing mascara but the base layer/top coat is only used to help the fibres stick and used to seal the fibres on afterwards.

As a first attempt it was rather easy. I found it better to coat the lashes throughly with the base layer because it made the fibres stick more evenly. Now here is a trick I discovered. The transaction between base layer to fibre application needs to be speedy. I found I got better results from quickly putting the fibres on literally striahgt after using the base layer. So it is wise to make up one eye at a time.

Be sure to take your time when applying the fibres though as it can easily get very messy!

Before & after results

The results are amazing - I was totally impressed. My Lancome Grandiose Mascara is excellent don't get me wrong but this finishing touch really does make your eyes pop.

I use the mascara for special occassions as I am normally rushing around like a headless chicken in a morning so I don't have time to apply this.

If anyone is interested in grabbing some of this mascara be sure to leave me a message and I can put you in touch with my friend selling them (100% genuine).

Have you tried Younique Mascara Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes or any other of their makeup products? Do you have any tips?
