Chatsworth International Horse Trials

Sponsored by Dodson & Horrell
Located in the heart of the peak district

Chatsworth three day event brings together equestrian competitors from around the world to take on the disciplines of dressage, show jumping and cross country.

I love absolutely love Chatsworth. What better place to host an equestrian event than in the grounds of the Duke of Devonshire's estate. It's such an idyllic location.

The weather held up (ok, on Saturday we got a light drizzle, but a bit of rain never hurt anybody) In fact, Sunday was a glorious day!

There was a lovely atmosphere at the horse trials. There's also a shopping village (YES! That means country clothing is on offer) and entertainment for the whole family.

Pimms O'Clock...

Find out what I wore at the end of the post...

I was most fortunate to be invited by County Equestrian Jewellers to attend the event and take over their Instagram page for the day. I have worked with CEJ in the past but this was the first time we met in person. Not only do they make beautiful jewellery but they're absolutely lovely too!

You can find out more about them HERE and read my past review HERE

How gorgeous!

Just a few pieces on display

Here are some more photographs I took from the weekend

Arriving

On Sunday we decided to brave it and take the dogs with us, their first time! As you're aware they're a bit of a handful but I was really proud of them :)

They have a Dog Arena at the Horse Trials too.

Just take a look at how gorgeous their jewellery is!

What I Wore

Despite many donning Dubarry style boots and wellies. I wore my gorgeous new boots from The Spanish Boot Company on both days and my preppy socks from Sporting Hares.

Saturday
Following my, 'How to wear a Tweed Mini Skirt' blog post I thought I'd rock a tweed mini for the day and I think it worked well with my new boots! Being as the weather is temperamental this time of year (isn't it always haha) I wore my Belstaff gilet and Barbour jacket to stay warm. I also wore my beautiful new shirt from Oxford Shirt Company (will be reviewing) underneath.

I got to test out my Tusting Porter Satchel and it was perfect for our weekend antics! (will be reviewing this also) I added my pink tweed 20 gauge shotgun shell tassel keyring from Highbird Designs to the bag.

My gorgeous jewellery from County Equestrian Jewellers really finished off my outfit nicely.

Sunday
The lovely weather meant I could get my Sporting Hares Beauchamp blazer out! I wore a plain white vest to show off my stunning (actually in love with it!) necklace from County Equestrian Jewellers and in true equestrian style I wore my white jegging jeans.
